This calendar will continue to be updated throughout the school year. It is always best to keep in mind of the applications deadlines for these scholarships to ensure that you have plenty of time to apply to them as some scholarships require much time and attention than others. Be sure to visit the weblinks that are provided for each scholarship, as they will provide you with detailed information/criteria, as well as the application form that need to be filled out and submitted. 

Beedie Luminaries Scholarship Program

The Beedie Luminaries Scholarship (Online application opens on Nov.4/24) 

This Scholarship is for students with potential who are facing financial adversity. Students who are smart but constrained by circumstance. Students who are resilient and gritty. Students who are ready to make a positive change in their lives.

Beedie offers five comprehensive programs that support Grade 12 students ( single parents, refugee and immigrants, graduate students, and aspiring tradespeople) in their pursuit of further education.

Schulich Leader Scholarships - 2024/25 - January 8th/25 (Nomination forms must be submitted by this date)

The Schulich Leader Scholarships are the largest and most prestigious undergraduate Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) scholarships in Canada, with a value of up to $120,000 per award. This scholarship was established to encourage our best and brightest students to be the next generation of entrepreneurial-minded, technology innovators. Launched in 2012, 870 students have received this celebrated award – a top student can win from our school!

Schulich Leader Scholarships is open to all Canadian high schools with graduating students who are planning to pursue an undergraduate degree https://schulichleaders.com/universities/ at one of our 20 partner universities. Every high school in Canada may nominate one student per academic year; cégeps may nominate up to four students. BC Excellence Scholarship - 2024/25 - Jan.20th/25 (Deadline for student nomination forms) 

The BC Excellence scholarship is awarded to 55 high school graduates who have demonstrated service and leadership, both at school and in their communities, and who show aptitude for and commitment to their chosen career or area of post-secondary study.

Students selected for this award receive a $5,000 scholarship voucher from the Ministry of Education and Child Care that they can use to be reimbursed for tuition paid after they are attending a post-secondary institution that is designated by the Province of B.C. (i.e., approved for Canada Student Loans) or a program provider that is approved by SkilledTradesBC.

You have five years to redeem their BC Excellence scholarship vouchers; an expiry date is printed on each voucher and extensions are not possible.

National Scholarship Program (Western University) -  National Scholarships are designed to recognize all-round excellence. They are awarded on the basis of outstanding academic performance to candidates who demonstrate ability for creative and innovative thought and a passion for the pursuit of learning. National Scholarships also recognize exceptional achievement in extracurricular activities such as the arts and athletics.
