SCHOLARSHIPS:
Scholarships are available in three broad categories - school based, university/college based, and outside organization based. All Grade 12s are encouraged to check our Career Advisor's website and the bulletin board near the Counselling Centre for scholarship news and read the application criteria and apply by the published deadlines. Richmond Secondary School students must apply to be considered for Richmond Secondary School scholarships as well - the application form is available online only, on the school website.
Information on B.C. Ministry of Education Scholarships can be found at:
https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/education-training/k-12/support/schol...
TVRs, PSI, CLC and CAPSTONE PRESENTATION:
Grade 12s will check their Transcript Verification Report (TVR) carefully to be sure they have all the courses they need to graduate including Career Life Connections (CLC), and to confirm their achievement in each course. TVRs are distributed in the fall and spring. Students must also meet all the prerequisite course requirements of the post-secondary pathway they are interested in (e.g. Sciences at UBC, Arts at SFU, Math at UofT, Broadcasting at BCIT, etc.).
The Post Secondary Institutions (PSI) Selections will be completed online to allow the Ministry to send school marks to the post secondary institutions grads choose. The PSI selections will be completed online and should be done as soon as Grade 12s begin applying to post-secondary schools. This is completed on the Ministry's BCeID site.
A reminder that all Grade 12s must successfully complete Career Life Connections (CLC) and a Capstone presentation to graduate. Grads are encouraged to see their counsellor early in the year if they have any questions about their TVR or PSI or post-secondary application processes.
